Dr. Vinod Nookala, MD, FACP, is a board-certified internal medicine physician, Professor of Medicine, and former Program Director with over a decade of leadership in clinical practice, medical education, and hospital operations. He currently serves as the Associate Chief Medical Officer, Director of Hospitalist Services, and Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Saint Clare’s Health in Denville, New Jersey.

Throughout his career, Dr. Nookala has been recognized for his strategic vision in advancing medical education, mentoring future physicians, and delivering patient-centered, culturally competent care. As a former Program Director, he played a key role in expanding academic initiatives and improving training programs through hands-on teaching and leadership.

He earned his medical degree from Sri Venkateshwara Medical College in India and completed his internal medicine residency at Pinnacle Health – Polyclinic Hospital in Pennsylvania. He holds an academic appointment at New York Medical College, where he actively contributes to both undergraduate and graduate medical education.

Dr. Nookala’s core expertise spans hospitalist leadership, clinical quality improvement, and team-based care models. Fluent in English and Hindi, he remains deeply committed to serving diverse patient populations with compassion, excellence, and professionalism.
