ID Fellowship Position Available - Virginia Commonwealth University

12/03/2024 –  The Infectious Diseases Division at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia has an opening for a first-year ID Fellow to start July 2025. 


The ID Fellowship Program at VCU offers excellent clinical training in the field of infectious diseases.  Fellows encounter a vast spectrum of illness at VCU Health and the Central Virginia Veterans Administration Healthcare System during their two-year fellowship.  Upon completion of training, fellows are competent in evaluating and caring for complex patients with a wide variety of infectious diseases and related conditions. Outstanding research opportunities are available in the fields of Orthopedic ID, Transplant ID, clinical microbiology, antimicrobial stewardship, HIV, hospital epidemiology and infection control.  Each year, they offer a third year of dedicated research training to one fellow who wishes to pursue research in Hospital Epidemiology and Infection Control while obtaining a Masters in Public Health degree.  The training program is fully ACGME accredited.

Open position in Geriatric Medicine Fellowship at Boston University/ Boston Medical Center

12/03/2024 –  1 unfilled position in Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program at Boston University/Boston Medical Center. 

They have a longstanding, robust geriatrics training program that has a track record of graduating outstanding geriatricians who become leaders in the field. Fellows are exposed to treating the most vulnerable older adults, both within BMC’s Safety Net Hospital atmosphere as well as at the Boston and Bedford VA Health Systems. This is may be a good fit for folks who are interested in primary care, hospitalist medicine, or planning another fellowship where geriatrics training would be an added bonus.

Philadelphia Nephrology Fellowship Position

12/03/2024 – Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Hospital has one open position for General Nephrology Fellowship Training starting July 1, 2025. 

The General Nephrology Fellowship Program at Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Hospital is a two-year ACGME accredited program that provides exceptional training in the practice of nephrology through bedside teaching, classroom didactics, inpatient consults, ambulatory outpatient clinics, outpatient dialysis unit experience, and research. 

Fellows are mentored from the first day of fellowship and guided through milestones as they gain more autonomy during their training. Fellows get robust training in acid base, electrolytes, acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, end stage renal dialysis, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and kidney transplantation.

The Infectious Disease Fellowship Program at Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia, a two-year ACGME-accredited program hosting one fellow per year, provides excellent training in the science and practice of Infectious Diseases through mentored relationships involving progressive independence for fellows. The program provides training through classroom instruction, inpatient consultations, and ambulatory clinics. Fellows develop clinical and intellectual expertise in the diagnosis and management of complicated infectious diseases in inpatient and outpatient settings, including solid organ transplant-related infections, as well as robust training in antimicrobial stewardship and infection control.

Transplant ID opportunity at the University of Wisconsin

12/03/2024 – The University of Wisconsin are recruiting for a fellow for a one year, funded, clinical fellowship and advanced training program in Transplant Infectious Diseases.

Fellows can leverage our expertise in antimicrobial stewardship, infection control, antifungal use, PK/PD, and learn our cutting edge multidisciplinary approach to CMV prevention. The TID fellows will participate in inpatient and outpatient clinical programs, research and QI, protocol building, and selection meetings, and with elective time including opportunities to round with other transplant service lines. Training will be individualized to the fellow’s interests and needs.
